The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Car Crash

Vince Zampella, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The renowned video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, according to.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
