Actor Denies Anti-Vax Position After Narrating Contentious Pandemic Documentary

The acclaimed actor has provided his vocal talents to a new documentary that challenges the legitimacy of vaccines and commends one-time cabinet secretary the political figure.

The Feature's Disputed Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a well-known publication written by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for claims that Covid was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The book's co-author, the executive producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone radio host the Infowars host. Heckenlively wrote online hailing Neeson's role in the project.

An Unequivocal Statement

The team of Neeson have provided a statement strongly denying implications that he subscribes to anti-vaccine views.

"Many acknowledge that corruption may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be equated to rejection of vaccines," the statement reads. "Neeson never has been, and remains not, against vaccines. His extensive work with the global charity underscores his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It continued that the actor did not shape the project's messaging and that questions about its content ought to go to the producers.

Major Claims Within the Feature

As presented, the narration read by Neeson includes several provocative claims:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have called for "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "research has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Kennedy is featured stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • The film also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Past Context and Current Issues

The documentary also references a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a correction by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, the political figure called on the CDC to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, contrary to a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation confirming no evidence has been found.

A Past Record of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's tone, Neeson has formerly shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

The film concludes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This isn't the end of our narrative. This is the start of a different phase."
